Types of Exercise Routines
Even though most people were taught stretching in P.E. class as a child, many take keeping a exercise routine for granted. There are many benefits of having a good exercise routine. Here are just a few.
Types of exercise Routines
There are many types of fitness exercise programs and some of these target specific muscles and muscle groups. Among the more common routines are the dynamic exercise or warm up stretches, active exercise, passive exercise or cool down stretches and isometric exercise. Some other exercise routines are a combination of two or more of the types of stretches listed above.
Back Pain and Posture
Most simple back pain can be cured with a stretching routine. It is important to find stretches that target the part of the back you are having the most trouble with. Simply touching your toes can be an effective preventer of back pain. Good posture also helps to relieve back pain. Strong, limber muscles are the key to better poster and the best way to get there is through a stretching routine.
Benefits of exercise Routines
Most benefits of exercise routines are largely focused before any strenuous activity or exercise. These routines benefit us by preparing our muscles for the exercise or activity which we plan to do. This help to prevent any pulled or strained muscles during the exercise proper. These exercise routines also help to warm up the muscles to prevent any soreness after the exercise.
Prevent Injury
Athletes know that a stretching routine can prevent serious injuries to the muscles, that is why you see them stretching before pitching, batting, mounting the parallel bars, and other athletic activities. Even athletically inept people can benefit from stretching.
Stretching before and after a workout is very important. Start by walking in place for five minutes to warm up your muscles. Stretches are more effective when the muscles are warm because the muscles are much like modeling clay. Clay is much easier to mold if it is warmed by the hands first and similarly, muscles stretch better if warmed by light exercise. Start your stretches by performing them with slow and deliberate motions. Then, stretch after your workout before your muscles cool down too much.
Some researchers have concluded that exercise routines are also beneficial for the mind. This is because most exercise, especially relaxed exercise is enjoyable for us. We stretch when we wake up in the morning and we also stretch when we feel tired. exercise routines may also improve our breathing and lung capacity if we include breathing exercises with the exercise ones. This is good for those who may have a hard time coordinating their breathing during exercises.
